This year’s AHIP conference will bring together thought leaders from across the health insurance landscape, including several Providence Health Plan (PHP) leaders helping shape the industry’s future. Here are three PHP leaders you can find at this year's AHIP conference.

You can hear PHP Scott Burton, Market President, Commercial, on a panel titled “Industry Trends and Insights: The Employee Health Benefits That Matter Most”

 
The Tuesday session will explore how employers today must navigate more choices and new challenges when choosing health benefit options for their employees. Attendees will gain valuable insights into what to consider when evaluating employee health benefits. Panelists will discuss the latest industry trends and the factors influencing employers when selecting health benefits, including cost and quality of care.

President and CEO Don Antonucci will speak in a session titled “Health Care 2030: Are We Consumers, CEOs, Health Citizens, or Castaways?”

 
On Wednesday morning, Don and the other panelists will explore four alternative future healthcare scenarios for 2030 and implications for the patient-person. The scenarios are based on two key driving forces that are quite uncertain for 2030: the source of healthcare financing (public sector vs. private and commercial) and the social ethos in the U.S. – whether community-driven or individualistic. This will be a real-time brainstorming session on four alternative futures with a panel of experts from sectors in retail and consumer goods, technology, and healthcare delivery.

PHP’s Chief Medical Officer Laurel Soot, MD, will be in a session titled “Leveraging Payer and Provider Collaboration for Better Health Outcomes.”

 
On Wednesday afternoon, she and other speakers will share best practices for establishing effective relationships between payers and providers, navigating complex regulations, and aligning incentives to achieve common goals.
