Regena Frieden to serve as Chief Administrative Officer, Brad Garrigues as Chief Growth Officer and Timshel Tarbet as Chief Healthcare Experience & Equity Officer
Congratulations to three Providence Health Plan Leaders assuming new, expanded roles: Regena Frieden to serve as Chief Administrative Officer, Brad Garrigues as Chief Growth Officer and Timshel Tarbet as Chief Healthcare Experience & Equity Officer.
Regena Frieden Frieden has been promoted to Chief Administrative Officer. In this new role, she leads key functional areas and essential pillars of engagement, bringing a cohesive approach to shaping PHP’s overall direction and growth as well as community initiatives. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Regena has expanded her existing scope of work as Chief of Staff – which includes oversight of the Office of the CEO, executive engagement, strategic partnerships, and communications – to include regulatory compliance, risk management and government affairs (RCGA), Medicaid, and PHP’s Mission integration team.
Brad Garrigues has been named Chief Growth Officer and will lead PHP’s efforts to grow and expand membership. This new role more closely aligns marketing, product, and network development to better serve both members and providers. Brad’s 26 years at Providence and strong background in network management position him well to lead these areas as part of overall growth. Brad will continue to oversee Commercial lines of business as well as underwriting.
Timshel Tarbet has been appointed as Chief Healthcare Experience & Equity Officer, leading healthcare experience, while continuing to strengthen the organizational focus on health equity and diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging (DEIB). Timshel and her team will continue to partner closely with PHP’s clinical teams to ensure clinical operations functions and this cross-functional work are closely aligned – a key imperative for a strong equity strategy.
“As we continue to grow as a health plan and provide high-quality, accessible care to more people, it’s critically important that our leadership team evolves to best support the essential work that will allow us bring the Providence Promise to more people,” said Don Antonucci, President & CEO. “I am confident these changes are the right next step for Providence Health Plan as we continue to evolve and accelerate accountability in key areas and place a more intentional focus in partnership and alignment across the enterprise.”
